About the album 'HOPE'

This CD is a direct to stereo DAT recording of a one off concert performed
at the Hope Centre in Bristol, from which the album takes its title.  All tracks
are written by Chris Scott and arranged by Chris Scott & Steve Payne.

Crawdaddy:  Chris Scott on Vocals & Guitar,  Steve Payne on Guitar.

The Acoustic Orchestra:  Paul Huggett on Drums/Percussion,
Rick Payne on Mandolin, Bill Crampton on Bullfiddle,
Claire McTaggart on Fiddle, Jason Sparks on Squeezebox.

Songs performed:  Paradise on Earth, I got the Burn, Highwire, I don't believe, Wicked Tongue, Hot Muscle
Jazz, Sweet Little Angel, Feeling Inside, Sugar, So Glad.

There were no rehearsals for this performance & the only preparations were rough acoustic sketches of the tunes
made available in advance to the orchestra, thereby compelling each player to rely on their listening & interpretive
skills on the night itself.  This approach of placing skilled musicians on 'The Hot Spot' in order to obtain
spontaneous & creative performances and is the same used on the musical sequences with American roots
musicians in the HTV series 'Crawdaddy - Bristol to Bristol' on which Chris Scott was the Musical Director.

Crawdaddy intend to do this again with musicians from cultures & countries around the world.
